This is the absolute best character study I've read in this fandom, and trust me, I've read quite a few. I'm a sucker for parallel structure, and besides, every sentence is deliberate and beautiful. he is a disaster waiting to happen, and John doesn't know what he'll do when it does -- this is my favorite line out of an entire story of would-be-favorite lines. I'm putting this down as a must-read on my recs list.
