Fic: The Lonely Doctors Club (PG) by [livejournal.com profile] onedergirl29
Doctor Who/Sherlock crossover that essentially involves Martha Jones and John Watson getting drunk in a pub and commiserating with each other about the annoying genius bastards on whom they have one-sided and hopeless crushes. It's basically hilarious and I wish I'd written it. Frankly, I wish I could write like this.

Art: I Am Actually, Extremely Ever So Cleverish (G) by [livejournal.com profile] r_scribbles
In which all three episodes of Sherlock are summed up in the style of the Charlie And Lola kids books. I giggled all the way through, and then 'awwwwwwwww'-ed at the ending like I'd just been confronted with a kitten in a plant pot. I fear this combination might be my kryptonite. This is, in fact, actually extremely ever so brilliant.

In non-reccish news: STEPHEN FRY IS PLAYING MYCROFT IN THE SHERLOCK HOLMES (RDJ version) SEQUEL! I am currently gleeing uncontrollably at my computer.

...I have either found the best or the worst possible name ever for a commander in the Navy, I can't decide.

McAnally.

Rear-Admiral McAnally, naturally.

*giggling like a twelve-year-old*

It is in The Times! It must be true! Even Rupert Murdoch couldn't make that up.

McANALLY.

Naval training school must have been hell.

Tee hee hee. *is totally mature, really*

We have a house for next year, guys. :D :D :D :D

A house with a ballpit!

(Well, it's got a tiny spare room that we don't really need, so clearly the only possible use for it is to fill it with as many playpen balls as we can afford.)

I'm inclined to believe that we'll never get the members of [livejournal.com profile] cardiffgeekery out of our house again. Luckily, that's just fine with me.

Also, I passed English with 65%. Since apparently 70% is a first and I thought I'd done pretty crappily on that exam, I'm happy. Still waiting to hear from Journalism, but that won't be til the end of the month. D: Stupid Journalism.

Am loving Welsh rock, at the moment. Not sure why, but I've got into it enough that I bought a couple of new Stereophonics, Catatonia and Manic Street Preachers CDs. International Velvet is a really great album; I'm firmly convinced more people should use Catatonia songs to make Torchwood fanvids. I would, but I have no idea how. Suspect I lack the technology.

On a totally unrelated note, Wales Vs Italy was fun. And watching Wales Vs Scotland in a crowded bar in the middle of Cardiff with [livejournal.com profile] analogboyuk and [livejournal.com profile] seren_cymraeg's big brother and loads of Scottish and Welsh supporters (it was a home match) was even more fun. Fingers crossed for the Grand Slam!

(We have a house. *glee*)

So.

Is it wrong that GLBT always reminds me of a sandwich?

...I discovered a video on my mobile, that Ellie took before we set it to photo camera rather video camera.

So: The pyramid's creation!

Steph's is the voice issuing instructions, I think I'm the very Welsh accent. *nods*

And because Steph asked for 'that video from the other day', so I got permission to post this, too, we have Jocelyn lindyhopping with a home-made lindyhop(per?) in our F9 common room a few weeks ago.

Steph's voice (noticing a trend here?) introducing, I'm the one giggling madly towards the end.

...I love my friends. I've said it before, but I do. Buahahahaha.

Hokay, so. Today was Jeans For Genes day at school, so we all paid a pound and came to school in non-school uniform. It's a charity thing, raises money for genetic diseases, hence a day where everyone wears jeans. And not skirts, thus making a few acrobatic feats possible.

See, when all of us get together in our free lessons or particularly at lunch times, we do odd things. Like try to get our heads to touch the floor whilst still being on the desks (I managed it!), just because Pip happened to wonder if it was possible.

Today, that manifested itself in four of us doing shoulder stands on the desks. Just because. (Though probably again because of Pip.)

And then later in the lunch hour we got kicked out of the classroom we've taken over as a common room, because the Muslim kids are using it as a prayer room during Ramadan. So we went to the Science Block, where some of us had duty (i.e. sitting in the lobby-slash-hall, stopping non-Sixth Formers from coming in which they're not allowed to do during lunch). And, well... we were bored, and there was lots of space, so we decided to build a few human pyramids. So of course there were photos.

I'm the girl in the green minidress with brown hair and glasses.

Four VERY LARGE photos beneath cut. )

God, I love my friends. :D

All of these were taken by Ellie, as she is far too sensible for such mad things as human pyramids. :P

My green minidress, if anyone's wondering, reads 'HERE COMES TROUBLE'. I feel it's only fair to give people advanced warning. XD

Oh, and while I think of it- I've checked with everyone involved that these photos are okay to put on the net, so this post is gloriously unflocked. Two out of three of the others won't be, as I don't have quite the permission of everyone pictured. *shifty*
